Hey all, I am in first year university studying bassoon but my first instrument was piano. I might take it up next year as a minor study but I'm unsure of how much time I'd be able to dedicate to 2 instruments... I was wondering of what I could do in the mean time to prevent my technique disappearing (more than it already has)?

Cheers.

Play as much as you can as often as you can. Just keep your fingers in contact with the keys so when you come back to the piano, it's not a complete reacclimation, but rather a day or two's good work adjusting.

BTW...I used to play trumpet and piano, and never found it difficult to practice both. (Brass was easy... "Oh, my lips are tired?" Go to the piano. "Oh, my lips aren't tired anymore?" Back to brass. etc. etc. :p ;\) )
