I've just started it. I've always been in love with this piece and finally decided to tackle it. It is my imagination or is this thing tricky? The writting is pure genius, but it feels a little awkward under my fingers. Is that just my ineptness or is it truely tricky?
(Please, don't burst my bubble too badly)

I LOVE this sonata, am finishing up the 4th movement now (what an ending). What spots are you having trouble with? There are a couple awkward spots in the first movement.

Definately the first movement is giving me problems. I can play all the notes, but to get it to sound and follow all of Beethoven's phrasing, well, it's just awkward for me. I'm trying to use as little pedal as possible but I keep running out of fingers. Those repeated D's can start sounding like a jackhammer if I'm not constantly thinking about it. I guess it's just hard for me to get the balance right. It's a great piece though.
