The baby is a boy. I'm not sure of weight or anything like that, but he is perfectly healthy in every way. But, I can't say what he looks like, I haven't seen him yet. I will see him sometime before christmas or on christmas for sure.

What is that supposed to mean? I am celebrating an addition to my family. Is that so hard for you to understand?

That's wonderful, jgoo! I'm also looking forward to meeting a new addition to my family when I go home next month. My nephew was born Aug. 30th and I haven't met him yet, although I've seen pictures.

Congrats again! \:\)

Congratulations, ChemicalGrl! Its always nice to have an addition to the family.

From what I've heard from my grandpartents (they went to see my cousin on Monday), he is very cute. There pictures should be ready to for me to see soon. (They live about 4 blocks away from me). My Aunt and Cousin get out of the hospital today to return home. They've been staying in a Tocama, WA. hospital but live in Belfair, WA. (just south of Bremerton, WA., if you know where that is. Its across Puget Sound from Seattle).

jgoo, that's wonderful news ... what could be more profound?

I would like to share with you one of my favorite poems from one of my very favorite poets. The poet's name is Rabindranath Tagore. He is from India.

This poem is from "Gitanjali":

The sleep that flits on baby's eyes -- does anybody know from where it comes?
Yes, there is a rumour that it has its dwelling where, in the fairy village among shadows of the forest dimly lit with glow-worms, there hang two timid buds of enchantment. From there it comes to kiss baby's eyes.

The smile that flickers on baby's lips when he sleeps -- does anybody know where it was born?
Yes, there is a rumour that a young pale beam of a crescent moon touched the edge of a vanishing autumn cloud, and there the smile was first born in the dream of a dew-washed morning -- the smile that flickers on baby's lips when he sleeps.

The sweet, soft freshness that blooms on baby's limbs -- does anybody know where it was hidden so long?
Yes, when the mother was a young girl it lay pervading her heart in tender and silent mystery of love -- the sweet, soft freshness that has bloomed on baby's limbs.

--Rabindranath Tagore
