how many sequals can be made? :p

actually I see something like this

Rachy II - Sergie Rachmaninoff returns for a final piano competition against the acclaimed Russian Pianist, Mr. T. (not that Rachy's known for competiting at piano)

Rachy III - Rachmaninoff trains a 1 year old prodigy with enormous hands who grows up to be a mega piano virtuosi, Rachmaninoff works to prove his reign over this kid. Cameo appearence by Yanni.

Is there really a Rachmaninoff movie in the works? The idea of a cameo appearence by Yanni is over the top. Hoo ha.

yeah, there have been deals made apparently for a movie on him. I'm not sure how much it's gonna be about him though, but on his romantic life. I'll post what I can find on it.

ok, I guess apparently it has a title :p but I still like my title.

Monday, 13.Mar 2006 - "Driving Miss Daisy" helmer Bruce Beresford has signed to direct "Rhapsody," a biopic of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff says Reuters.

Based on a true story as told through the eyes of Rachmaninoff's widow, the story will include never-before-revealed details about the secretive musician and the love triangle that inspired some of his greatest works at the time of the October Revolution of 1917 in Russia.

Timothy Prager ("Haunted") penned the screenplay.

it could end up being a chick flick type deal about Rachmaninoff but I'm hoping not.

hmm interesting because I've never even heard of this one, but there is a different Rachmaninoff movie I know of that's been filmed and already in postproduction. This film I believe is called Lilacs and is directed by a famous russian director that directed the movie The Island (Ostrov). Look it up on IMDB if you want.

I heard about that too... I thought for some reason they were the same and a mix up of facts. one of them though is supposed to hit the big screen. though I'm not sure how well a film about a classical composer will do against films like Borat and such :p
