What an amazing disk.

First of all, I've always been a Hough fan, and with every recording of him I hear he seems more and more amazing.

Liebermann will undoubtly be known as one of the greats of the 20th/21st century. The 2nd especially is really something else.

I think we need to start a thread about him...

Hough is one of my favorite pianists.

Stephen is a wonderful artist--and a dear friend. We attended Juilliard together--and one of my proudest moments was being his 'orchestra' as the Piano 2 part for his Brahms 2nd Concerto for the Naumburg finals in Carnegie Hall! He's crafted a fine career, indeed. Thanks to his wonderful pianism, Lowell's first two piano concerti struck gold, and now, Lowell's Third Concerto, written for me, is a step up as one of the best new concerti on the planet.
