This is probably nothing new but I've recently started practising hands separate mostly LH ... playing along some favourite recordings of pieces I am working on.
To say the least, I find it fun and rewarding and a lot easier for me to get the rhythm correct .. well at least as far as the recoding I am following.
My only concern is that not sure if this will subconsciously affect my playing and interpretation to follow that of the recording. Which is why I am still doing it mainly with LH.
Any one has similiar experience to share ?
Thanks, SD
ps:Of course I am doing chunk practice only at this stage only after I nail down the chunk to the right speed to match that of recording.

i find it fun to play particularly the left hand with both hands (octaves). It helps me learn the left hand part much more quickly.
