How do you pass a slur on to the next line or next page in Sibelius? I can't figure this out! Thanks guys.

I'd help you, but my Sibelius is at my apartment at school. I'll get back to you when I go back (Wednesday).

I know how to do it in Finale but not Sibelius, but its a sneaky trick so maybe it will work in Sibelius too! The trick is take out one or several measures before where it would go to the next page, leaving the excess meausres behind, and do the notation/tying for the spot where it will be at the page turn. Then fill in the previous section again and off you can go to the next page!

Hope that helps/works

I think in Finale you have to distinguish between ethnic and personal slurs. ...

( but then, Finale has always been the more meticulous program )

:p

When entering slurs, pressing the space bar will automatically extend it to the next note. Much more comfortable than using the mouse.

I have an ice cream. I cannot mail it, for it will melt.

Thanks, Mrenaud! And to everyone else who helped, much appreciated. (Yes, even you, Bob.) smile
