PoStTeNeBrAsLuX included this link in his thread on Berg's Piano Sonata. This is the site of a concert organization that decided to make the performances available on the web for download, and even though it has a contemporary work (Leon Kirchner's Interlude I), they must've had permission from the composer, and, of course, the performers. So, I was wondering if there are other sites where one can download recordings with the assumed approval of the artists and the organizers? I don't want to know of any rather shady sites where annonymous users simply post whatever commercial recordings they think are cool, since such practices really hurt the already struggling commercial recording industry, and more importantly, the artists. Please post similar non-shady sites so that we could all spread the music around (and please, no youtube stuff). Kreisler and Brendan, perhaps this could be a sticky thread? But if I've unknowingly violated forum rules or have raised a taboo subject, please just delete.

Oh yes, here's the download archive of the site in my OP. Lots of good stuff!

Art of the States has a lot of great stuff, all of it from American composers, I think. Kalvos and Damian should be catnip for someone especially interested in new music.

By the way, this is a thread for non-shady art music downloads of any era, not just modern/contemporary works.
That being said, many thanks wr. Art of the States doesn't seem to do downloads, but it's still a great listening resource.
