I have recently been looking at a Kawai 1983 US70. I believe it is "Grey Market". Does anybody have any experience or comments on this piano. I sounds/plays great and is immaculate in and out from a dealer. Asking 2800 with a one year warranty!

Sounds like what most people are really looking for piano and don't find and so they post here. I don't comment on prices as they vary so much around the world. That seems like a fair price and the dealer is willing to stand behind it assuming the warranty isn't all hot air.

Thank you for posting. You seem to be aware of this piano under the name I gave it, a Kawai US70.

I have also posted an inquiry on the 'piano players forum' around the corner and nobody there seems to know what this piano is. Somebody actually asked if it was a K 7, which I believe is a much newer Kawai piano line. Does it go by another name that you are aware of beside a US70. It's 20+ years old. . .

'Hot Air' is part of the warranty, she has told me that the room should be 40% humidity or that could void the warranty if she could prove it I guess but she said a new Kawai or Yamaha would have the same stipulation.

She's just trying to sell me a humidifer unit along with the piano. I just want to use one in the room! Long Island is fairly humid and in the winter I'll use and external humidifer unit. It's been running about 30% at this time of year in the house with the heat still on alittle bit!
