I used to be a piano tech and rebuilt a lot of pianos, and now I'm going back in the business part time.

I never ran across a Kurtzman. Has anyone worked on them and opinions? Before I drive 50 miles, there is a 1936 Kurtzman baby grand piano 5', I would appreciate your input. In mint condition, how much would you say it's worth? A range is fine.

Thanks in advance.

A no-name piano made before WWII in mint condition is worth less than it would cost to put it into mint condition, as a rule.

In today's market you can't make money on that piano unless you simply clean it up, dope the pins if loose, file the hammers, quick reg and sell it. Even at that, the piano would have to given free to you.

BDB, Bob, thanks for your expert advise. I'll pass on it and look for a better option.

Thanks again!
