I have gotten a great price for a new Petrof 125 from a local dealer. I was wondering if Petrofs are a little difficult to get just right? Per Larry Fine's book, they are, but once done, they're beautiful.
Are they difficult to tune, or just like most pianos? Anything good or bad that is largely know by RPTs that us laypeople should know?

Hi, if you are happy with the instrument and the price then I would suggest purchase the piano, as long as there wasn't anything really holding you back from buying it then there shouldn't be a problem.

I like petrof's alot. The ones supplied with a renner action are better than the petrof action. Petrof's are above average in quality and tone. They are easy to tune, and the scaling is usually very good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

I never found them difficult to tune but on the average they required some regulation and voicing to be made more desirable. Mark Mandell www.pianosource.com
