Lyre support rod design

Hello all,
My wife and I recently purchased a Lyon & Healy baby grand and it is missing the lyre support rods. It appears that a previous owner played it without the rods in place and the additional stress has weakend the wood screw threads at the 4 remaining mounting locations. I will have to repair the wood in the mounting holes and find a replacement set of supports or fabricate my own. Can someone help me find a business that sells this hardware or a good picture of an original? I would prefer using original hardware that is correct for this piano, although I have not been able to locate the serial number to date it yet.
Thank you!

Finding original hardware for old, out-of-production pianos is a hopeless task. There are brass lyre braces available, but wood ones are generally not available. If it had brass ones, your tech may be able to get them for you, and they should not cost too much. Lyon & Healy pianos vary quite a bit, so what works for your piano may not work for another.

Thanks,
I did a bit of searching under the correct term "lyre brace" and found several sources so I should be able to find a good supplier. It appears that mine were simple brass braces since there are only small mounting holes. Thanks for the input on variation in this brand. I've heard mixed opinions from different sources. Does anyone have ideas on where to find a serial number for this brand? I see a shadow under the bottom left side of the case that looks like a tag or badge may have been attached but there may be other less obvious cues to dating the instrument.
Thanks again!

There may be one on the inside of the keyslip or elsewhere in the action. Here are common locations: http://www.pianoatlas.com/serial.html --Cy--
