This can't be good for ones career.

Dust mask and slow moving air

Brings back memories of having my nose hair clogged with paint because the cheap paper mask didn't seal right.
But back in the day we also used to smoke in the spray booth while painting, a disaster waiting to happen, but most of us escaped.

I'm in my sixties now and I wonder if I have any lungs left at all...lol
At least now the paints are pretty poisonous so masks aren't an options anymore.

Too bad that piano was white, white paint had a totally different smell than black paint and you could tell what color the piano was when you walked into the shop, even before seeing it.

I recall painting an old Steinway electric blue for someone, almost had tears in my eyes while I painted it, such a sacrilidge.
Times change.

Ouch! This reminds me of when I worked in a metal shop welding wrought iron railings, and then spraying them with red lead oxide primer and no mask! Ok I am dead soon.

This might actually not be lacquer, it could be high speed dry enamel, but still he is using the wrong mask for sure there Rod. Or is it Ron? You don’t look like a Ron……

For spraying a solid colour the guy’s technique is terrible too. Usually when you are spraying a solid colour, the undercoats are a different colour so that you can see where you have missed on the depth of coating. What can you expect though, without a mask? The guy must be stoned out of his mind……

When I was a 20 year old apprentice doing heating and air conditioning. I was in an attic doing some work with some of the old timers. Fiber glass filled the air. I had a mask on but the old timers didn't and they busted me for wearing one.

At lunch that day they were coughing up a storm and they noticed I was fine.

After lunch when I went back in the attic the old timers all had masks on...
