I Have a customer with a mid 1980s Kimball grand. The pedals are encased in a two peice plastic housing, and then mounted in the bottom of the pedal lair. Needless to say, this plastic housing is breaking appart. I have epoxied it back together but it is only a matter of time before it breaks again. Schaff has a similar set up in their catalog, so I ordered it to try. Thankfully it was only about $3.50. Unfortunately, it would not work due to a size and shape difference. I was wondering if anyone had run into this before, and if they were able to find the correct part anywhere. Thanks.

Dan- I havent run into a Kimball lyre with this problem, but over the years it has happened many times with various brands. I have no source of parts for you; all I can tell you is what I've done, which is either scavenge a part from junkers that we've taken apart, or fashion pedal mounts from hardwood..........Sam
