I got my copy of Steve Brady's new book Under the Lid-The Art and Craft of the Concert Piano Technician, last week...and read it cover to cover already...its a great book.

Besides offering some interesting ideas as to tuning, its a great synopsis of fast, front-line regulation techniques...I saw it favorably reviewed in PTG Journal and just had to have a copy.

And, the interviews with other technicians and concert artists makes it unusual, and invaluable.

The "forearm smash" technique was worth the price of admission alone! Very cool...

I bought a copy a few months ago and have enjoyed reading it, learning a lot. Last week I gave it to a colleague form Europe. I am going to get myself another copy later this week at the Burbank Convention. A very worthwhile book. For the amount of the information it contains, I think it is priced far too cheap. This kind of specific and advanced text should cost at least one hundred dollars.

There's another great piano book on the market.

Ditto on Steve Brady's book -- it's fantastic.

Did you mean there is actually a technical book other than the one discussed in this thread that is worth getting, or that the book being discussed is one of the best currently in the market?

I just looked up this book, and the only link I could find was Byzantium books.
