I got my copy of Steve Brady's new book Under the Lid-The Art and Craft of the Concert Piano Technician, last week...and read it cover to cover already...its a great book. Besides offering some interesting ideas as to tuning, its a great synopsis of fast, front-line regulation techniques...I saw it favorably reviewed in PTG Journal and just had to have a copy. And, the interviews with other technicians and concert artists makes it unusual, and invaluable. The "forearm smash" technique was worth the price of admission alone! Very cool... RPD

There's another great piano book on the market.

If it's the first case, could you share its name and author?

The Complete Idiot's Guide To Buying A Piano. I guess a too carefully disguised plug.

I just looked up this book, and the only link I could find was Byzantium books.
Trouble is, the billing address options are USA and Canada, and I'm UK.
Anyone else out there stock this book? J
