I'm looking for some tips on making a polyester repair to a small grand. The mover took a chip out of the poly on the outer rim top in front of the music desk. I prepared the damaged area using a dremel tool with sanding stones, cleaned the area with acetone etc but am having problems getting the new poly to stick. I tried both liquid polyester and when that did not hold I tried Rex Lith. No matter what I have used I can't get the new poly to stay in place. Any help would be appreciated.

The surface needs to be sanded with 150 grit
paper. Clean it with MEK. Use a black CA glue
Acivate the glue and sand and polish.
