We bought a Petrof V grand piano. That is less than a year old. We have had it in our house for one week and when we play certain keys a certain way it sustains the the note in the lower keys. I got told that the piano is getting adjusted to our homes atmosphere and that is why it is doing it and that it will go away. Is this true? Should we be concerned? It seems bad and it has not gotten better after noticing it for 3 days.

Yes, the piano is adjusting to your home, but no, you should not have any notes sustaining that way while it is adjusting. Something probably shifted in transit, and the dealer should get it dealt with. Should you be concerned? Only if the dealer tries to dodge his responsibility to send a tech to take care of this for you........Sam
