Does missed tuning lead to lasting instability?

Normaly I have my piano, a Yamaha U3A tuned 2X a year,in the spring and again in the fall. This year I have not had a chance to have my tuner over in the fall. It is now mid winter and I would like to skip a tuning until April or so which would be about 12 months since the last tuning. The piano has a Dampp Chaser installed and does not sound too bad at all yet. The unisons are still "in" for the most part. It just does not sound as sweet as it would after a fresh tuning.... Does the fact that I skipped a tuning effect the pianos overall stability? Does infrequent tuning lead to an over all instable piano? I was hoping someone would advise me...Thanks...

This should not be a problem long term, but will likely mean that the tuner might need to work a little harder to get it sounding its best at the next tuning. It might cost a little more.

David, the lab is the only one who will listen to me play. Thanks for the input folks. The tuning will wait until April....
