Since there has been some dicussion on this forum about the dormant state of the Tornoto PTG chapter I thought that I would post this information. You don't have to be a member to attend. All technicians in the GTA (and beyond) area are welcome. Also, the next fall and winter meeting are in the planning stages, so we are back in business. Anyone wanting further information should PM me here.
The Next Meeting of the Toronto PTG chapter will be held at Pianohouse
Burlington in Burlington Ontario on October 15th at 7:30pm. Pianohouse is located on Harvester
Rd., one block south of the QEW. Pianohouse is situated between
Burloak and Appleby Line exits from the highway.
Pianohouse Burlington is the exclusive Mason & Hamlin distributor for
eastern Canada, so this is a chance to see and hear some really fine
grand pianos.
The tecnical will be a power point presentation on Kawai's new carbon
fiber piano actions and a chance to try out a
Fujan carbon fiber tuning lever.
www.fujanproducts.com We are also looking at introducing the P.A.C.E program as a regular
part of our meetings. The program was designed to prepare technicians
for the PTG exams. By including the program as a regular technical
feature we hope to prepare our associate members so they can proceed
confidently to testing and RPT status.
John Lillico has selected Clancy's Pub, 4490 Fairview St. That’s on
the south/west corner of Appleby and Fairview, one block south of
Harvester, right by McDonald’s as a place to gather for those who
would like to "eat and greet" before the meeting. Techs will be
gathering there around 6pm.
