I just want to know what people think about the brand called Lester.

I found one today and it looked like the outside was in very good condition despite the fact that it was probably made in the 50s. I looked inside and tried all the keys. It felt really good, and I could see no real problems.

Would there be any reason to think that the inside is not as good as the outside? Or is it reasonable to think that because the outside has been very well taken care of, the inside is probably ok as well? Is $650 a good price for this deal?

I was truly impressed by the looks of it, but I wouldn't be able to tell a good pin block from a bad pin block unless it was really obvious.

Thanks for your help.

Dont but this piano unless you get it checked out, specifically for plastic parts. Lester used a lot of plastic, and this was the early plastic that does not hold up. Ask your tech to check for plastic damper flanges, hammer flanges, and backchecks. If it has any, dont buy it, I promise you it will break.........Sam
