Can someone gv me a website of directory for technicians on LI, NY? I am buying a piano and want to get it checked thoroughly b/4 I decide.

Go to the Piano Technician Guild site at www.ptg.org and you can find a technician by clicking on a sub menu. Good idea to hire one before you buy rather than after the piano is in your living room.

Zuzu,like Jimbob said,check the PTG website.You should not have a problem finding a good Tech on Long Island,half of them are Steinway employees.Did you try looking at pianos at \:\) Frank&Camilles'?That is where I bought my Baldwin SF-10,they have good prices.If they don't have what you're looking for,try Altenburgs in Elizabeth,they have a great selection and good prices.
