hi

I have franz wirth piano from 1927.
What is "mechanics" on this piano?

I think it is "vienna school" mechanics , but i don't find anything on internet about this "vienna mechanics" or about franz wirth , etc.

How diffrent is this "action" compare to modern piano?

For me "keys action" feels heavy, and slow responce , so it's maybe for slower playing etc, but i didn't compare to some modern piano , so that is just assumption.

By mechanics maybe you mean the action? A picture or two would help because we cannot see what you are looking at.

This might be a wire sticker action.

On a Viennese grand action, the hammer heads are at the keyboard end of the hammer shanks, and the dampers are pushed up from near the center of the key. On most other actions, the hammers are at the tail end, and the dampers are pushed up from the back of the key.
