lucian Full Member Registered: 03/06/03 Posts: 404 Loc: Belgium	recentelly I had to tune four old NY St&S's(aprox.1910-1925).Each time I had the feeling that they're vibrating much more than the Hamburg St&S's I'm use to.I felt it especially in the tuning-hammer,to be more accurate. Is it just an impression, or is it about the construction? _________________________ lucian "more I learn,less I know" piano tuner/technician (sort of..... $;\)$ )

I have heard some NY 1920's S&S that the soundboard was working as well as a brand new one. One of them I do remember that had really no killer octave. Next time I will make the time to check more.If interesting,I can give the results.
