Bob 3000 Post Club Member Registered: 06/01/01 Posts: 3262 Loc: Orlando FL	Verdigris is deposits on the center pin at flange joints in the action. It prevents the joint from moving freely, and results in sticky keys. Sometimes a product called "protec" helps (liquid form), sometimes a mixture of alcohol and water, dried with a hair dryer helps, sometimes nothing helps and the joint must be re pinned or replaced. _________________________ Registered Piano Technician 1927 Steinway M, rebuilt in 2005 1929 Steinway A, in process of rebuilding
