My friend just bought a 5 year old grand piano. Before the delivery, we both tried the piano and
felt quite good about the key touch, responsive and not so heavy. However, two days after the
delivery, we found that the key touch is much heavier and less responsive. We thought it might
be the humidity, so we put a dehumidifier and it did not help much. I wonder if anyone on this
board can help explain what is happening.

Humidity is a likely culprit. You didnt say where the dehumidifier was put, or how long it was left on. Also, are you sure that the humidity is high? Radio Shack sells a nice digital hygrometer. Give it a little time to settle in its new home. If the problem persists, call the store (if you bought it from a store, that is) or call your tech...Sam
