Has anyone encountered a Hartman & Lanshe upright or grand? I'm currently working on an upright action for a family with a piano student. For an old upright I am impressed by the condition the piano is in. My guess is, it has not always resided in the southland. No rust and little discoloration on metal.

Pierce does not have anything to say about this brand - no serial numbers or location of factory.
Just wondering where they were made. Also Pierce does not indicate this brand was a stencil. The name is cast in the plate. That does not always eliminate it as a stencil, but name is also on the fallboard.

Regards,
Ron

Couldn't find it in any of these either:

The Musician's Piano Atlas (England)
Atlas der Pianonummern (German)
Pianos and their Makers (Alfred Dolge)
Piano (David Crombie)
Piano Roles

Sorry.
