Hello.
I want to buy a baby grand piano for my husband's birthday (as a surprise). He's always wanted to take lessons. I've found a teacher and a used (14 year old) beautiful Bernhard Steiner black baby grand. It has a good sound and is in good shape. It's local - $3400. I know eventually we'll want to put a player (is that the correct term) on it. I was told by a dealer that would run around $5500. Am I doing the right thing by getting the piano first and then adding the player when we can afford it -- is that an ok brand? any advice is welcome

If you can find a good piano with a recent player piano then you would save money. However most people will not get the value from a player that a player costs. If you want to compare the Bernhard Steiner that you found with some other ones, then come by our store in Willowbend Mall. We have several used Bernhard Steiners. Plus Ivan Kahn can tell you all about the model that you found. They came in several models and made by several companies. Some are very nice and you have found one at a good price. We can be of help to you.
