I just got a player piano, it is a C. Kurtzmann & Co. It has been painted and the only numbers I could find are 88235. I could not find info on the net other than about the company. I was wondering if anyone has one of these and could tell me what year it was made. The lady I got it from said she thinks it was made in the 1920's. The player works and doesn't sound to far off tune.

The serial # is usually found somewhere around the tuning pins. Assuming that what you have given is the actual serial #, the piano was built in 1925.

Thanks Greg,
I did get the number from inside top left. That is the only number I can find. None on the back.
I see your from Georgia, I have family there, one in Newnan, one in Tyrone, one in Fayetteville, and one in Smyrna.
Happy New Year to you.
