I can't find info or opinions on this DP anywhere

http://www.roland.co.uk/digp_room_catdet.asp?ID=EP880

A "friend" recommended it for me (but he works for the piano store on commission bonuses)

does anyone know or have experience about this digital piano?

it's priced at £580 and is £65 less than an fp4

I'm a complete noob at piano so anything you could contribute is valued
(thank you)

The EP-880 seems to be one of those pianos
that has never made a splash in the digital
piano world, while the FP-4 is a hot seller.
It's probably a fine instrument, but seems to
have an undistinguished quality about it and
rather modest specs. Your friend's store
may have had trouble moving it off the floor
and thus the recommendation.

I've tried an FP-4 and it was impressive,
with a very fast action. Some people refer
to this as "light," but there's a difference
between light and quick--this is a fully
weighted hammer action. One thing about
the FP-4 is that the white model is very
sharp-looking. I'm not keen on white
pianos, but this one is a knockout in looks.
You put it in a room and everyone will
have to go up to it and check it out.

If you've never played a note on a piano
before, you should realize that although these
two are fine instruments, but you can
also get good dp's for about $600 to
$900 (US).
