Hi everyone.

This is my first post on this forum.

I recently replaced my aging CLP-155 with a CLP-280 at an irresistable price. (300 series just being introduced)
The 155 was around 13+ years old and a number of keys had become 'floppy'. They all played but the action was poor.

However, has anyone else noticed, that while playing enthusiastically, they occasionally hit either the volume knob or a voice preset button, with a finger tip?

Gives a sudden change in volume or changing the voice mid recital...

The control facia would be better flat rather than angled up....
Goes for any model really.

I never experienced that with the 155.

I've also noticed, the Grand Piano 2 voice on the 280 is identical to the Grand Piano 1 voice on the 155. (Albeit limited to 16 note polyphony). That gives some indication of how good the voice sample was, nearly 15 years ago...

Now trying to play some boogie woogie.
Pine Tops is coming along nicely, but Albert Ammonns Boogie Stomp is just too fast for me at the moment....
That guy 'Ecco' on youtube rocks! Although he is, i think, professional.

Guess I'll have to keep practicing.....
