I'm interested in getting the CLP-280, however the music desk is very low. If you compare the distance between the height of the bottom of the music desk to the top of the keys, it is quite small, compared to an acoustic piano. I find that this will cause me to look down lower than is common.

Also, the music desk is fairly short, presenting potential difficulty when using scores with vertical height.

So, I'm wondering if there are any third party (or Yamaha) options or accessories available to overcome these two limitations? (Music desk is too low, and music desk is physically not tall enough.

Thanks,

Lawrence

you mean music stand, right? it's all like that with DPs, unless you can customize it to lift it higher. my music stand (pf500) feet are supported by 2 holes on top of the board, and i would think if i want to make it higher, i would have to extend its supporting feet, but so far i don't feel the need and i feel fine with the hight.

Yes, music stand, music rack, and music desk are all common terms.

It is interesting. I went back to the store yesterday, taking some music, and it didn't seem to be as much of a concern.

I'm going to adjust my present keyboard, music desk, and bench height to match that of the CLP-280, live with it a bit, to determine if the levels are really going to be a problem. Perhaps it will only be a matter of getting used to it.

Lawrence

I've decided to go for the HP-207, which happens to have a higher music rack, so this will no longer be an issue for me.
