clp 170 vs. motif es 8 piano sound, feel

Could really use help here until I get the chance to audition a clp170. I currently have a motif 7 but really need a weighted keyboard for practicing classical, improv, etc. I have played the motif ES 8 recently and found that 1) the action makes me sound pretty darn good - I like it. 2) The main piano patches sound quite a bit better than my Classic Mo.
What I need to know if this: I never liked the action of the P250 - I thought it was a little heavy. I'm all but positive that the Motif ES8 is a slightly lighter action. How does the Clp170's action compare to the ES 8? How would one compare the main piano sounds on each? Thanks in advance

The motif 8 is weighted.
When you say to "select like key action" on the p250, I'm assuming you mean the degree of touch sensitivity. As far as I know, there is no way to make the keyboard actually depress in a lighter fashion.
Would still like to hear from anybody who has compared the two keyboards. Thanks.

Simply put, there is no comparison between the Motif and GH3 action!
The CLP-170 is distinctly piano while the Motif is simply weighted. The GH3 keybed is slightly heavier than the Motif and has a decidedly more mechanical feel (like a real grand piano). When you get the chance to try the CLP-170, you'll be amazed at the difference.
Don't get me wrong,.. I love the balanced hammer action on the Motif but for pure piano realism, the GH3 keybed wins hands down. That's why I have both! ;-)

What about the sound comparison between the Clp170,Motif8 or the Hp107.

I can't speak to the HP107 as I use the SRX-02 board in an XV-3080 for Roland piano sounds. As for the Yamaha's, If we are just talking stock sounds then I would say that the clp-170 wins (although this could just be because of the iAFC enhancement) BUT the Motif is also a sampler so you can load a large selection of different pianos. Also, because the Motif is a workstation/synth, you have access to all of the parameters necessary to program almost any voice (including pianos) to your liking.
I personally spend most of my time playing on the Motif, but when I want to seriously practice playing piano, the 170 is where I go.
