I have a Roland KC-350 that is pretty nice, though it cost over 200. You might look at it's little brother, the KC-150.

Does the Roland speaker/amp have a nice natural sound? I have a Kurzweil Mk 10 that sounds great through good headphones but has a very harsh unnatural sound with the built-in speakers.

I would play it a lot more if it sounded more like the headphone sound.

I don't need megawatts of power, it would just be for home use but I would like a much more smooth musical sound. I know the keyboard has the capability because of the sound through headphones.

For home or studio use, the Rolands are fine. They don't travel well, though. I know you only want to spend $200, but when I had the Roland KC-100, I used two of them - one for the right channel and one for the left.

I've since switched to a Yamaha StagePas 500 PA system to play my piano through, and found someone who wanted to buy the two Rolands from me. I sold them for $100/ea.

Try looking on Craigs List for used Roland KC series speakers. You might find a deal.
