Hey guys, I am new here and glad to say hello to you.

I have been hanging around this forums for days and really learns a lot from people's discussion. For now, I am thinking to buy a Yamaha CLP series. However, the new model seems to be too expensive for me to afford. So does anybody knows where I can get a used CLP piano except the craigslist.com? Is there any local store around the central NJ? I think for my level, a CLP 7 or 8 years ago will be good enough for me (actually I played on a CLP-123 and really liked it).

Thanks for any idea.

maybe you can check on eBay. but i wouldn't buy anything more than 8 years old or anything before 1999. DP technology has changed a lot since.

also, i wonder why you have to get an old CLP rather than some newer and cheap Casio models? how much you can spend? for less than $400, you can get a Casio PX110/310 now. also some new Yamaha low end models: P85 and YDP-S30 with $800 or less.

Casio PX series is your best bet. Go an check out Guitar Center for used pianos (and new as well).

Check local newspapers ..

Or if you like other Yamaha DPs, I would be tempted to call Guitar Center, and ask for prices for the Yamaha DP floor models, many of which come with original warranty but an attractive price.

Then check out the model in store and if you like 'em ask them to 'cut a deal' for you.

I own a CLP220 (brand new). I have recently also owned two Casios (CDP100, PX700) and a low-end Yamaha (P70). I concur with the idea that you should just get an entry level Yamaha or Casio from Guitar Center. There will be at least half a dozen under $700, some as low as $400. If you don't have at least that much to spend, wait and save your money.

Thanks you guys! Sorry that I cannot reply earlier since I forget the password somehow... Based on your advices, I think buying a new model sounds really good. I am going to post a new topic asking between two models, if any of you knows some of them, I'd really appreciate that you guys reply there. Many thanks.
