Hello,

I want to buy a digital piano and I'm located in the metro Boston area. Can anyone recommend a retailer?

Mainly, I'm looking for a big selection of pianos so I can try out many different pianos side-by-side. I went to Guitar Center in Comm Ave, a couple Daddy's Junky music stores, but they all had a limited selection of digital pianos. I primarily want to see a P65, P70, P140, YPG-625 and DGX-620.

While we're at it, I'd like to hear your comments about these DPs as well.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry to break it to you, but there's not a lot in the Boston area.

- Guitar Center (you've been there)
- Mr. Music in Allston
- Piano Man in Waltham
- Kawai dealer near Berklee
- Kawai dealer in Framingham
- Other traditional piano dealers with DP stock

Guitar Center has some of the Yamahas you mentioned, last I was there. Mr. Music had some as well.

A lot of dealers in the area will have full-sized digital pianos with action the same as their stage piano counterparts. You could research the models, and then try them out that way.

People like and dislike various brands for lots of reasons. I would do a forum search if I were you and get different opinions, then match them to your objectives.

J

Jamble,

Thanks. I really am surprised that there isn't a lot in Boston area. I'll try Mr. Music in Allston this weekend.
