Hi, The CLP-340 is the new replacement for the CLP-240 and offers new synthetic ivory keys. My local sales guy told me both still have the same specs expect for some slight design changes. So, the CLP-240 still seems like a solid choice or is the 340 any better?

Thanks
Raven

CLP340 and 240 differences:

340: 4 level dynamic sampling, pure CF sampling (new), GH3 with synthetic ivory keytops, IDC LAN port

240: 3 level dynamic sampling, GH3

surely, 340 is better, but it also costs more.

Definitely 340 if cost is not an issue for you. The better sampling alone is worth it, IMO.

Thanks for the info! seems to be more differences that I expected. He's selling it about $250 more than the 240.

Yes I just checked the 340 is now available in polished ebony.

I had a chance to play around with the 340 and its very nice. They had CVP models right next to it and I must say the CVP models do get my attention. I love having all the ensemble instruments and large display but its much more expensive \:\(

At least the 340 can connect to a laptop and music software so I should be able to create some kind of ensemble with it no?
