Wireless Ethernet Bridge & Yamaha IDC, doable?

I want to take advantage of Yamaha's IDC Lan port but I don't have a LAN port on the wall where the 340 will be. But Wireless Ethernet Bridges exist to make the LAN port see the Net as if it was wired.
As anyone used this method successfully?
Thanks

In principle it should work (I must be absolutely clear that I haven't tried!). Another option would be to use powerline / homeplug network adapters - that would be my preferred route as I found them simpler to set-up than a wireless bridge (for other networking set-ups).

Hi SSB,
Your right. Powerline network adapters might be a simpler choice and easier to configure.

You're welcome. I've been very happy with them here - I've got 85mb/s solwise and another brand all playing together happily.

Same problem with a Yamaha CVP 403.
Worked fine for me with an Airport Express (Apple) BUT :
1) As far as I can remember you need at least some basic knowledge to configure this (not user friendly) 2) Configuration made using a MAC 3) You may experience compatibility problems between the Access Point and the Airport Express
Regards.

It does work. I have a cvp407 hooked up in this fashion. The complexity depends on which wireless bridge you use and which wireless access point you use. I also recently setup a powerline and it was indeed quite easy, so that is also a worthy alternative.

What you have asked for is doable. Please check in with 1-800-Pro Yamaha to find out specifically which wireless unit will work with your specific piano and your specific LAN. This match up is fussy, and many units will not work.
