I was wondering if anyone has ever owned a Yamaha CP25 (or similiar CP30 or CP 20 models). I purchased one on ebay in March, 2001 for less than $200 and the instrument is worth every penny if not more. The 61 keys are weighted and it is built like a tank (100 pounds). It is neat in that its legs screw into the body and can be removed and the piano stored in a closet. I get the impression that there aren't many of these currently being used. Anybody else out there still using these relics (manufactured in 1981).

Felix. :p

I had never even heard of the CP 20, 25, 30, or 35 before your post. I have a CP-70, though.

Is yours like this CP30?

I owned a CP25 or a CP35 many years ago. I think it only had eight voice polyphony. It can't be worth very much today.

I remember I had problems with the occasional note sounding at full volume unexpectedly. I learned later that the problem was the sensor (or whatever) in the key bed that measured the velocity.

I didn't own my keyboard for very long as I recall.
