I have a CLP 970 bought new 6 years ago when it was the top of range model. It looks good (in my opinion), has a good feel (I regularly also play a fully restored Bechstein Grand in a concert hall), sounds OK on grand piano setting and has the necessary midi in/out/through and floppy disc etc.. However, the keys have become quite noisy over the years with no obvious solution and I have been considering P/E for the latest 'top of range' digital. Having tried Yamaha and Roland in the showroom I did not see any improvement in feel or sound over the CLP 970 therefore I have held off changing. Is there a better digital on the market or, any ideas on making the keys quieter?
