im looking to buy one of these synths, but i need to decide which one. what are the pros and cons of each one, i need a recommendation

Get the Motif. I have played the Motif a Fantom lines extensively, Any Motif is a better sounding, playing, working, instrument. Hands down.

somebody today recommended me the korg triton, and its 1000 bucks cheaper, and im just wondering what makes the motif better

Before I say what makes it better for me, I should ask what you are looking for in a keyboard.

Also, what model Triton were you offered? Korg has a wide range of models in the Triton line.

the extreme 88-key triton. but really what im looking for an 88 weighted key keyboard good for performance and recording, and has alot of good synth sounds (and a decent piano sound)

I'll have my XS8 in a few more weeks, so I'll be sure to make plenty of demo MP3s/videos.

If you're looking for nice acoustic sounds, I'd say to stay away from the Triton. Maybe just personal opinion, though. The sampling is just not up to par with today's quality. The keyranges are obvious, it sounds really plasticy, etc.

Goin to Recommend the FantomX8. You should really play all these boards first before you buy. IMHO the FantomX has a much better piano.

Take your time. You might have this piece of kit for a couple of years.
