Hi all!

Doing my homework...I am working towards replacing my old junky acoustic piano and I have narrowed my search down to the above two models. I saw the Korg demonstrated locally but then someone educated in digitals directed me online to a similar Yamaha (their preference) and it is also $300 cheaper.

I am looking for a nice piano that has good sound and especially authentic piano feel, as much as possible for the price range.

Thanks for any tips!

Well it was lower (LOL) but when I saw/heard the Korg at the music shop I raised my budget to about $1799 max, which was the cost of the Korg including bench and delivery. I really like the clavinova-look but if I am paying alot for the look and sacrificing quality I am open to some suggestions, although I really do like the above two models. The Yamaha is $1495 online with free shipping.

I am going to suggest the Yamaha P120. Superb Acoustic Pianos, Electric Pianos, Clavs, Organs, etc and a superb action. IMO it is the best piano out there. It is a Pro Stage Piano, so it has no big wood cabinet.

If you need a wood cabinet, then the YDP223 would probably be good for you. It does not have the superb piano sound engine that the p120 has, though.

If you have any questions on the Yamaha P120, feel free to ask.

Regards,
