Anyone out there with the CLP 990 and have you had a problem with the foot pedals being too high off the floor? I have leanred that the foot pedals are fine on the newer CLP's 120/130/150. Just curious if this bothers anyone else. Outside of that the CLP 990 is great and it'll take me forever to learn how to use all the features. Thanks, Nan

If you find the pedals too high (and if they can not be adjusted - or the piano lowered), you could always take a piece of wood and cover it with carpeting ... or simply place a few layers of carpeting in that general area for under your heel.

When I play jobs the piano is sometimes on a device with wheels (to facilitate moving) and the pedals are uncomfortably high. I usually find a table cloth, fold it several times and place that under my heel. I'm sure there are many solutions for this problem.

Thanks Dave and that's what I do but it seems to me a design failure on the CLP 990 that the pedals are so high. I checked with the dealer who tells me no one else has ever mentioned this problem and it is not possible to adjust them. The current CLP models (150/170) are fine -- the foot pedals are OK. I haven't seen any mention of this on prior posts so I just wonder if it's bothered anyone else. Given the CLP 990 is a high-end digital, I am surprised that with all the excellent features, the foot pedals were not better designed.
