Just wondering if someone could explain the differences between the Roland RD-300 and the Roland FP-4. Thanks

Two totally different machines. Different piano samples, different keyboard action, speakers, etc. Your best bet is to do a side by side spec comparison on the Roland website. Also, don't purchase without testing out each keyboard in person. The actions are very different and you need to experience them yourself.

Well... say, if i was a college student, and i was in a small town, wihtout a car... and probably 50 someodd miles from the nearest roland. Is it possible you could describe them a little more in depth... and I know its all about personal preference... but maybe just the one key difference would help.

I assume you mean RD300SX. The RD300 is an old model.

I have an RD300SX which I primarily chose for it's light weight. The action is light but I'm quite happy with it. The main piano sample is very good. I haven't tried an FP4.
