Hi,

Can someone enlighten me on why the CLPF01 costs
so much - it is even more expensive than the CLP280. The specs are quite inferior compared to the CLP270/280, and not as cosmetically pleasing.

Is there a gem hidden within it that I don' know about?. Has anyone ever tried playing it?

Just curious.

I haven't seen it in person but from the pictures
it looks like you're paying for the fact
that it is a brand new model (and a Clavinova),
has a revamped design (it looks almost like
an acoustic upright), and apparently has new
glossy finishes that are similar to those on
expensive acoustics and better than that on
the CLP 280 (plus colors unavailable
on other models: orange, blue, red,
high-gloss ebony). So you're paying for
looks and a new model mainly, and they put
older technology in it so they can
have a varied line: people interested only
in looks and the latest in thing can buy the
F01, and those who resist paying
the price of an F01 can be sold on the
fact that the 280 has the newer technology.

exactly, you're paying for the look and a funiture, not exactly a better piano.
