On Northern Sounds here there's a demo made by xav93 which combines Sampletekk's White Grand with Pianoteq. I think that xav93 is Xavier Bidault. He made one of the first sympathetic resonance scripts and his version of "Skylark" - featuring his script - is on this page. Both are worth a listen.

I've asked that on Northern Sounds. Waiting for reply. He lives in France, so we're way out of synch.

I suppose he's using two instances of Pianoteq - one with all the effects on (damper, string resonance, etc) and another with no effects at all. Then he is subtracting the second signal from the first one which leaves only the effects?

Xavier Bidault posted an explanation and a screenshot here. He's using Kontakt 2 and combining pedal up samples from Sampletekk with pianoteq's modelling.

sid: Most DPs use various recorded piano samples with the odd algorithmic effect to model a piano. Pianoteq uses no samples, but rather a fairly detailed (but in all probability still vastly simplified) physical model of a piano to generate sound. Hence pianoteq tends to be better with what you could call "second order" effects, i.e. the effects that other strings have on each other, etc.

I think this is a great idea. Pianoteq can't model everything not ATM anyway so this is a good solution.
Can it be done in real time?
