I have found a new digital baby grand piano for sale at a salvage store priced at 90% off of the original price, which was $7799.00. The Name on the piano is "Church Organ Systems" and underneath that is has "Church Midi Grand" printed. It is a beautiful piano, but has no paperwork with it. It has a few minor scratches, and I think that the only reason it did not sell before now, is that there was no cord with it. I found a fax machine cord that worked with the piano, and it plays beautifully. Underneath the piano, it says "Made in Italy". and the model number and serial number are hand written with a marker. It also has 200 watt, 112 volts written underneath. Can anyone tell me any information about this company? Is it worth my money? Thanks!

Digital pianos are designed to be maintenance- free, so they generally are very durable. A Korg C-800 console that I bought in 1989 is still in perfect condition and has performance comparable to new digitals. Italian-made products are of high quality, and if it didn't break in its first week of use when it was new, it will usually give no problems after that.
So this digital grand might be a good buy at $779.00, if you especially like the grand piano-style case. Try all 88 keys both with and without the rt. pedal before buying.

Note: a 200 watt power rating seems on the high side for a digital piano. This will apparently be like running two 100 watt lightbulbs when you play it.

Seconding Gyro's recommendation.
Also, if you're thinking of connecting this piano to a software piano on your computer, look for MIDI In/Out.
