Hey everyone. I am thinking about purchasing a roland hp 207. But have some doubts about reagarding the keys. I am playing mostly classical music. And I wonder if it's easy to go from the lightes pianissimo to fortissimo?

I'll be purchasing an HP-207 very very soon (2 weeks, tops). Was impressed with the action as any other DP I ever tried failed miserably to capture a real grand piano's action (though I realize what a vague statement that might appear to be).
It's also very cool that you can customize its action in different ways. Since I'm used to the rather loose action of my Yamaha DGX620, it'll take some time for me to learn how to play perfectly well on the HP-207.

But do you guys think that the yamaha gh3 pianos are to heavy? I find them harder to play more... expressively with?

No, I think they're fine, in the same league as Roland's PHA-II. Anyway, with a heavier touch you should get more expressiveness (i.e. control over the dynamics) and less speed, not the other way around.

Hm... Does any of you know if Roland will release a new hp-series model soon?
And when was the roland hp 207 released? 2007 or?

October 2007, IIRC. I asked that question to Roland a few months back.
According to them, no new model is planned for release to replace those... yet. :p

hehe, yet... It's hard to decide. Because the hp 207 have been around a long time now... How usually do they replace a model? I mean, how long was the hp 107 around until the 207 came?

For the HP users, do you use Grand Piano, or other tones that might actually sound more_true then as a grand piano?
I realised the demo songs sound much more richer than when I'm playing.. wondering if they're using other tones.

The demo song could be an MP3 for all we know. Some EQ'ing could have been done to accomplish this so-called "richer" tone.
