Unfortunately or Fortunately I am not good enough to tell the many differences. Though I do now when I like the sound of a piano and when I don't.
I have read hundreds of various posts about the Yamahas, Roland, Kawais and Casios. Not too many Korg people around for DP comments.
I do appreciate all the various opinions. But as you can tell from my post I have somewhat narrowed it down based on my price/performance criteria.
I can get the CN-41 for $1800, the HP203 for $2200.
I do like the Yamahas but feel they are overpriced for what you get and they are going to be replaced this summer.
I will look at the Casios before my final decision. But I must admit I probably have the Casio syndrome since it was my first basic keyboard 20 years ago. It’s kind of like Hyundai cars. They are getting better and better and probably present some of the best values on the road. But I am probably not going to be buying a Hyundai anytime soon. You either get that or you don’t.
The last comment for anticipated responses, try the CA-51, it has the wooden keys. Tried it and could not tell much difference for the price and lack of features compared to the CN-41. Tried the CE-200 at Sam Ash, was not that impressed. Actually preferred the Yamaha YDP223. But for $1600 I will stick with my current choices.
Even though the Piano sample is the most important sound. I really like the fact the HP-103 and the CN-41 has 300 sounds. It’s nice to play around with and have that option built in. Both of these Pianos were rated very well in Keyboard Magazine. I do prefer the LCD 2 line display on the CN-41 vs. the standard 3 digit LED. The CN-41 also has a nicer cabinet.
But from that point on I would really appreciate your feedback.
thanks, rob1261

Info I forgot:
I have been on the sidelines looking around for a while. I am basically an Adult Beginner. I have played guitar, so I have some music background. I am looking for a Home Digital Piano. I have seen and considered them all , I think.

First of all, it is your choice. The opinions on Roland and Kawai differ greatly. For instance, some prefer the Kawai keyboard, others (like myself) think it is too soft. Some like the Kawai sound, others (like myself) prefer the warmer Roland sound.
In technical terms, however, I believe that one important diffence is string resonance that the CN41 lacks.
