I have a P80 for my stage piano and I was wondering if it is time to upgrade to the P90.

Is there a big improvement over these two boards that I will be over the moon about.

If not what about the P140 or maybe the new Kawai ES-4 and the MP-4.

Although I still feel the P80 is an outstanding stage piano,im not sure if the extra expence will a significant difference yet.

Opinions please

The P90 isn't much of an upgrade from a P80 (some people still prefer the P80).
IMO you should wait for the upgrade of the P90, or checkout the Kawais as you mentioned.
I consider the P140 to be somewhat of a downgrade from the P120, as the P120 has 1/4" outputs.

I'm sticking with my P80. I considered upgrading, but am planning instead to save up for some kind of sound module. A Roland XV 2020 or maybe a rackmount Motif. Am also considering going with a PC based system and getting an MBox 2.

Those two options would be very nice, but keep in mind the Yamaha P's have a few midi glitches in terms of the velocity midi levels they send (although i have never encoutered it myself).
