Hi guys, I'm new here! Hope someone can help...

I have a Technics piano (part of Panasonic, I think... the brand name is no longer around), I've had it for about ten years and the sustain pedal has failed.

I tried buying a "universal" sustain pedal, which uses a 1/4" guitar plug, only to find it's incompatible with my piano, which takes a plug I've never seen before. It looks like it has four pins (not sure), looks kind of like a miniature MIDI cable.

Is anyone familiar with this type of input, or how I can go about finding a replacement pedal? I've looked all over the place for a Panasonic replacement parts shop online, but I've had no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is REALLY familiar with these pianos, it's an SX-PX224.

This may be a tough one. Technics has been out of the keyboard business for a few years now.

The last contact number MITA (Musical Instrument Technicians Association) has for Technics parts is 800-833-9626. It is still a valid number, but no idea what their parts situation is...

Good luck!
